Renowned film director and creeper Roman Polanski faces more allegations of sexual abuse, this time by the middle-aged British actress Charlotte Lewis. She claims Polanski forced himself on her back in 1982 when she was a budding 16-year-old starlet. Though there was no mention of champagne and Quaaludes, the potent mixture with which Mr. Polanski once enticed another pre-pubescent victim, Lewis said there were other “similarities” to the director’s previous sexual felony case. Thirty-two years after pleading guilty to these lascivious deeds and subsequently fleeing America for a life of hermetic solitude in France (where he continued to behave badly, according to Lewis), Polanksi may now be sent back to the U.S. to face sentencing for his crimes.

While many eagerly await the day when the director will be locked away for life, Jean-Luc Godard and a band of filmmakers at the Cannes Film Festival have signed a petition in his support. Woody Allen has also come to Polanski’s defense, outraged that people continue to hunt down a “75-year old man who for years has caused no trouble [and who’s] lived a good life.”  So what if Woody also has a penchant for preying on young girls?  Despite having resigned themselves to a life of creeperdom à-deux, let’s hope these two continue to churn out spectacular films.
